I believe we all (humans, animals, life of any kind) are subject to the same energies, the same forces of nature on the earth and in the universe. I think religion is nothing more than imaginative tales spun together by man/womankind to help us understand and explain these forces in lieu of scientific understanding. There is obviously something pionate in us as humans that needs to satisfy what we call spiritual needs, but why the fantastic stories? Why follow a bible or koran? With religion comes this certainty that, "we're right and you're wrong." With that comes judgment and persecution. Why can't we acknowledge we all have our creative spin on things we don't understand and that we are all the same fundamentally and love each other unconditionally? We are all brothers and sisters in the eyes of God (whoever that is), right?

But - I work in a defense lawfirm as a paralegal - and medical facilities will not give up records - EVEN IF SUBPOENAED - without a HIPAA-compliant authorization. I think if someone is suing for personal injury - they really have waived their right to privacy when it comes to those medical records. Does the HIPAA law directly address this situation?

Why can't I have ?

My boyfriend and I have tried several times, and it just won't go in. We've tried just about everything, and I can't get turned on or something. Well if your neurologist says he/she thinks it is migranes, then more than likely that is what they are. Also if this doctor is moving out of state then I feel he has a responsibiliy to ure a continum of care prior to leaving. I took my dog to the vet friday morning after i found out wednesday he was pretty much blind all of a sudden. The vet was closed at night wednesday and thanksgiving so i had to wait almost 2 days. Anyways he seemed fine wednesday morning going to the bathroom etc. then i got up to be with him and noticed he wasnt using his eyes to get around but was leading with his nose/smell. Well his eyes were red and blood in them. His eyes were squinting/closing alot in the last few months but was told it was allergys, he has an auto immune disorder and also has dry skin, a bit of trobule walking (looks like sore bones), and the skin is thinning around his and he used to itch/scratch it but the vetagain said allergy's concerning the skin and he doesnt bother itching it anymore. Chook stealing dilemma?

OK this is my problem. I have had my chooks for serveral years now without any issues. In the last few weeks I have lost almost all of them. I live on a farm and the chooks put themselves to bed by roosting in a tall tree outside my bedroom window. In the last few weeks they have been disappearing overnight. My first theory was that the early rising chooks were getting out of bed predawn when foxes were still lurking and subsequently getting taken by foxes. HOWEVER, last night was different. I woke at 2AM to find a heist underway. Somehow a fox or similar animal had coaxed my favorite white chook from the tree and was chasing it, its cries awoke me. Now I don't know if it was a fox because it was too dark to see but after the animal and disappeared with the chook a fox came back and was lurking in the bushes near my house (I chad by this time turned the outside lights on and could see). So my question to you is - if a fox is the only creature involved, how the hell did it manage to get my chooks from the heights of the tree they roost in in the middle of the night. AND, is it possible that the fox that was lurking after the incident was innocent and some other animal was responsible for the stealing? (I know there are wild cats in our area, - Australia NSW) Any insights to solve this mystery would be good considering that there is no way a fox would climb the tree and the chooks would hardly voluntarily jump fro the tree at such an hour!

My 1 year old son was not given proper pain management for his circision.?

My son is 13 months old and was circised 2 weeks ago. I was given the run down on his surgery 2 times, both times I was told that before surgery he was going to have a IV put in so they could administer pain medication quickly after surgery. I was shocked when total procedure took about 15 minutes. (put him to sleep, gave IV, cut, and stitched). I was told he was done and I could go to the consultation room to wait for the doctor and then see my son. I could hear him screaming from the room. When I was let in to see him he was inconsolable, screaming, scratching me, hitting me, pushing me away, biting me... for 45 minutes he did this. I was upset and asked why he was in so much pain. They told me that it was normal for babies to be "fussy" after surgery. I was told that he was given Tylenol w/codeine. After medicine kicked in he was calm and sleepy. I checked his arm for needle marks from the IV and he had NONE. He wasn't given an IV medication for pain. All he was given was Tylenol w/codeine after he woke and was made to suffer in pain for 45 minutes until medicine kicked in! I was OUTRAGED! I complained to the nurse who had the anesthesiologist come in. The anesthesiologist blamed the doctor. I demanded to speak with the doctor who blamed the anesthesiologist... no one wanted to take blame for my son being in pain for almost an hour! I am very VERY angry still and don't know what I can do about this. Can I sue the hospital? Is it considered malpractice? Cruelty? What can I do?

So my son has acid reflux?

And my doctor does NOT give medication for it. My son is 10 1/2 months and does not sleep well at night. He will be up anywhere between 2-10 times per night. I am just wondering who has had irregular periods and has ovulated between day 24 to 28 of there cycle? My last period was a 42 day cycle and I have had no obviouse symptoms up untill yesterday and that was day 24 of my cycle and there was a noticable amount of clear egg white mucus which I noticed a few months ago around day 13 of my cycle which of course was when I was on a 28 day cycle. I know this is a bit all over the place but I will try a bit more to explane what I am asking. My two periods befor my last were exactly 28 days. My period literly came on day 28. Well my last period didn't show untill day 42 days after the first day of last period. So of course that was a little crazy thinking my period was 14 days late but then came. I know there are some women out there who have long cycle all the time and who I ume must not ovulate untill late in there cycle especially if having a 42 day cycle. I have two girls one will be 3 on the 29th of this month the other will be 7 in Septembe. The conceived my first daughter when my boyfriend and I got a little worked up and he didn't pull out. My second daughter now he and I are married decided to try for number two. I pinpointed when I was to ovulate so we did it the day befor exspected ovulation and I got pregnant. The whole point in me telling you this is because then I was on a 28 day cycle and now it's harder because it's all over the place. I would really like to hear from someone who has a long cycle and who ovulates up around day 25 of there cycle. I am so sorry for the annoyingly long question and for it maybe being a bit confusing. I like the waitress at the coffee house I go to. Could she like me at all?

Ok so there's this waitress at the local coffee house, i'm 22 and she's 19 y.o. I see her almost every time I go there and ever since I asked her for her name she's very friendly with me, she always greets me with a smile and asks me how I'm doing. I'm always very polite with her and I'm pretty sure there has been some flirting between us. For example once I was with a friend of mine and as we were leaving the coffee house I held the door for her and smiled and she smiled back. But the strangest thing happened about a week ago. I was out with a female friend, having a walk, when I spotted a girl some way ahead looking at me. She was waiting to cross the road and I couldn't see very well who it was. When I came closer and she saw I was with a gf she turned away and stopped looking, and the next day when I saw her at the cafe she was acting kind of strange, like she was trying to look super-cool and easygoing. Maybe it's my idea but I'm pretty sure she would have at least said "hi" if I wasn't with female company. So the thing is I really like this girl, I think she's really sweet and a nice person, not to mention that I find her very attractive. There are many types of pastels that are considered high quality but it isn't just quality but detail as well. For that nothing beats a pastel pencil. Some of the best are made by Conte and they are a bit expensive. You will also need a board with a clamp to put your art sheets to. Many quality pastel sets have portraiture pastel sets, like Grumbacher, that come with the right colors for portraits but that may be too limiting. You need to experiment with hard and soft pastels because that is just as important as who makes them. I recommend a medium soft because you will usually need it to not be too soft. Hope that helps.

For one we have something called no child left behind. My question is if you have a reaccurance of shingles can it be different then the first time and can you have shingles without pain? i had been getting a reoccurring elisions that were red, blistery, ithcy, tender, and oozing. i kept uming that it was poison ivy i got it every summer growing up. You might want to look more into the company policy for this sort of thing. Or contact someone from the labor website. Some jobs don't have the same sort of rights for temporary employees as they do for their regular employees. I would find this out before you say something. If you go in there and start complaining or filing complaints then all they have to do is say that they no longer have the budge for temporary positions and you will have to be let go. I have a complicated question about my health?

I'm 19 female.I'm not trying to use this forum as an alternate to seeing a doctor, since I have already saw one. All that he really did was give me antibiotics and tell me if it doesn't get better within seven days to come back in. (I saw the doctor on the 2ed of Jan). This all started the day before Christmas Eve. I was getting headaches throughout the day and my muscles were sore as if I had been doing PT for a long range of time. I had never had my muscles ache that bad before for no apparent reason so I struggled through work, and called out the next day. I thought I may have just been having a 24 hour bug since there was one going around. But it didn’t get better it actually got progressing worse. Extreme headaches, muscle pains, congestion, hard time sleeping and staying asleep and even woken up to fevers and throwing up. Finally after I called out of work for a week I decided to go to the doctor. Now the antibiotics seem to be helping everything else, but something else is happening now too. A mive sore throat to the point where it feels like needles when I swallow. Both of my main lymph nodes on my neck are swallowing and feel like Frankenstein’s bolts. Mind you I get very sick during the winter and this is the 4th year for me that I have had some type of illness. I do nothing out of the ordinary that would subject me to viruses and I am always the one bundled up more when I have to go outside. I'm beginning to get worried about my health since the winter literally scares me now. I do not want to go outside for anything considering I get hit with something every time. I just do not understand it because this isn't happening to anyone else doing the same things as me. I guess I really don't have a real question, just more looking for advice on what steps to take or what path to turn to. What has worked for you? Thank you for anyone who helps.

Tito Ortiz hype or for real?

I only began liking Tito after the TUF show. It really showed his dedication to fighters and pion he has for the sport. In terms of his fighting, he's never put down a fight against anyone unless he was injured and always puts up a good show. As you said he's a huge attraction (love him or hate him he brings in heaps of attention to the sport). Sure Tito's been on a rough patch in his career since 06' but hes one of the longest active fighters in the game. Every fighter will have times they shine and times they look like only a shell of their former self. He has lost 4 out of his last 6 fights which is pretty bad, but looking at who's hes faced while having nagging injuries that he was probably afraid to go under the knife to fix was probably his downfall. He's faced former champions and top 5 people in his weight cl and did not get dominated at all or ko'd in any of the fights. It was hard equal fights, which could have gone either way and I think the organization knows that. They gave him a second chance with Bader (no offense to Tito) but probably thinking hes gonna lose (he was a 5-1 underdog). And he dominated Bader who's fought plenty before against stiff competition. I personally believe its a mix of hype and his skill as a fighter. Tito definitely does not look his age yet and hasn't seemed to have lost his step just yet. If he has fixed all his injures as he's said in numerous interviews, other fighters may have to fear him once again when he was one of the best LHW fighters ever in the UFC. This next fight is a win/win situation with Rashad, if he losses it won't be held against him (he took the fight under 2 weeks notice) and if he wins? well... Tito is back in contention and will most likely face the winner of Rampage and Jones and he may have a chance to reclaim his spot as a champion once again.

Jews, A question about Noachides?

I was just wondering where the "Noachide" came from. My previous understanding was that the Noachide and the 7 Noachide Laws where in reference to all non-jews. However in my recent research I have found that the "Noachide" seems to have come about as a sort of preventative measure against infiltrators in a time of great persecution, and that the 7 Noachide laws were derived through Kabalah (sorry if spelt wrong). Can a Noachide (or gentile whichever you prefer) follow any of the 613 mitzvot? I have been looking into them and researching them and it seems that some of these are directed straight towards Gentiles and Proselytes. Obviously a noachide can't keep all as some are specifically for jews, some for women, some for priests etc. I only ask becuase i have heard it said many times before that a Noachide can not keep any of the mitzvot and can only follow the 7 laws, but that doesn't make sense to me becuase as mentioned before some are for gentiles, or am i just being ignorant?

Trying to make a spreadsheet where a column of "codes" need to stand for a dollar amount. example: TS=$5.00 and TB=$10.00. I need it where I can set up cells later, where someone can enter TS, TS, TB and it will figure out the sum, which would be $20.00 (TS+TS+TB). I know how to do the sum part, but how do I format the cells so that like TS, which is in cell A1 stands for the dollar amount in B1??? So that later when someone puts TS in a cell, it looks at it as being $5, and not TS. helllllllllllllllllllllp!!!!

Long exposures for the Maxxum 5000?

I am wondering how to create effective long exposures with my Minolta Maxxum 5000. The longest the shutter speed is 4 seconds and my camera does have a bulb feature.
