Can you take out the whole stafford loan limit the 1st term or do you have to split it?

See, I'm starting a community college this fall and I have to get a car BEFORE my second term. Being a freshman, I'll only get $3,500 in Subsidized loans so I need the whole loan this term to get my car by next term. Any help would be well appreciated :D
