Please anyone with an irregular period help!?

I am just wondering who has had irregular periods and has ovulated between day 24 to 28 of there cycle? My last period was a 42 day cycle and I have had no obviouse symptoms up untill yesterday and that was day 24 of my cycle and there was a noticable amount of clear egg white mucus which I noticed a few months ago around day 13 of my cycle which of course was when I was on a 28 day cycle. I know this is a bit all over the place but I will try a bit more to explane what I am asking. My two periods befor my last were exactly 28 days. My period literly came on day 28. Well my last period didn't show untill day 42 days after the first day of last period. So of course that was a little crazy thinking my period was 14 days late but then came. I know there are some women out there who have long cycle all the time and who I ume must not ovulate untill late in there cycle especially if having a 42 day cycle. I have two girls one will be 3 on the 29th of this month the other will be 7 in Septembe. The conceived my first daughter when my boyfriend and I got a little worked up and he didn't pull out. My second daughter now he and I are married decided to try for number two. I pinpointed when I was to ovulate so we did it the day befor exspected ovulation and I got pregnant. The whole point in me telling you this is because then I was on a 28 day cycle and now it's harder because it's all over the place. I would really like to hear from someone who has a long cycle and who ovulates up around day 25 of there cycle. I am so sorry for the annoyingly long question and for it maybe being a bit confusing.
