Commute to kew bridge and paddington (london) places to live?

Richmond, Ham and Twickenham are London outer suburbs that would be convenient; they are leafy and quiet with the River Thames flowing through and many open spaces such as Richmond Park (National Nature Reserve). Looking a little further out of London. There are lots of more rural places that are within 40 minutes rail journey of Paddington. Its the Kew Bridge location and the distance between that and Paddington that limits your options.
