What are the pros and cons of getting a vasectomy and is it a bad idea?

The thing is at 32 and after 3 kids to me it seems like a great idea? Financially even in the recession and with 3 kids im great but not knowing wat the future holds it doesnt seem wise and kinda risky to have more especially if i cant support them. id hate to give my kids a crappy life. Im not even sure what kind of doctor to go to. Im planning on seeing my primary doctor on Wednesday to ask.
