Sleepwalking and Sleeptalking?
Ok, so I know that I have had a problem with sleep walking and sleeptalking all of my life. When I was younger, my parents found my asleep on the front lawn one night and they immediately bought secure padlocks for all of the doors, however, according to my parents, I would sleepwalk downstairs, grab a chair, climb on top, and attempt to unlock the padlock. On the internet, it says that sleepwalking usually occurs with prepubescent children, but I have long reached puberty and I will often wake up in another room, in the bathtub, on the couch, or in front of the t.v. There have also been many occasions where I will wake up wearing my school or work uniforms, or by the refrigerator with the door open. However, my nightly activities are not merely limited to sleepwalking, but also sleep talking. My parents tell me (and they have filmed me) as a child reciting lines from movies, naming characters from cartoons, talking about random stuff, or even having full conversations with my brother who also sleepwalks and sleeptalks very frequently. My question is, is it normal for someone to sleepwalk and sleeptalk after maturity? and is it normal for them to be able to carry on full conversations with other people who are sleeptalking? Also, is it hereditary? because my mother talks in her sleep, I walk and talk in my sleep, my younger brother walks and talks in his sleep, and my younger sister also talks and walks in her sleep. thats 4/6 people in my household. Also, does sleepwalking cause and psychological problems? and is it true that if you attempt to wake up a sleepwalker, they can have a heartattack or go into a rage? thanks!
