Is there a tool I can use to make 1 7/8" holes into a plastic bucket lid?

Using a hole saw on my drill at the moment, but it digs it up and likes to bite into the plastic a lot. It's just plastic, I'd really like something like a sharp hole punch I can hammer, or a handheld paper punch type tool. Interested in any suggestions. LOTS of holes to be made.
